Global Gold Corporation was incorporated as Triad Energy Corporation in the State of Delaware on February 21, 1980 and, conducted other business prior to its re-entry into the development stage of mineral exploration and mining on January 1, 1995. During 1995, the Company changed its name from Triad Energy Corporation to Global Gold Corporation to pursue certain gold and copper mining rights in the former Soviet Republics of Armenia and Georgia. In Armenia, the Company's focus is mainly on the exploration, development and production of gold at the Tukhmanuk property in the North Central Armenian Belt. It is currently in the development stage. It is engaged in exploration for, and development and mining of, gold, silver, and other minerals in Armenia, Canada and Chile. The Company is also focused on the exploration and development of the Marjan and an expanded Marjan North property. In addition, the Company is exploring and developing other sites in Armenia, including the Company's Getik property. The Company also holds royalty and participation rights in other locations in the country through affiliates and subsidiaries. In Chile, the Company's focus is mainly on the exploration, development and production of gold at the Madre de Dios and Puero properties in south central Chile, near Valdivia. The Company is also engaged in identifying exploration and production opportunities at other locations in Chile. In Canada, the Company has engaged in uranium exploration activities in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, but is phasing out this activity, retaining a royalty interest in the Cochrane Pond property in Newfoundland. The Company also assesses exploration and production opportunities in other countries. Although the Company competes with multi-national mining companies which have substantially greater resources and numbers of employees, the Company's knowledge of, and partners in, the areas of its operations provide it with significant advantages.
