Arabica Coffee Gives Up its Gains on Rising ICE Inventories

March arabica coffee (KCH25) Monday closed down -0.05 (-0.02%), and March ICE robusta coffee (RMH25) closed up +16 (+0.32%).

Coffee prices on Monday settled mixed.  Arabica coffee shed an early advance and settled slightly lower on the increase in supplies after ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories rose to a 2-1/2 year high of 993,562 bags.

Robusta coffee Monday posted moderate gains on signs of smaller global supplies.  Vietnam's General Statistics Office reported Sunday that 2024 Vietnam coffee exports fell -17.2% y/y to 1.343 MMT.  Vietnam is the world's biggest robusta producer.  Robusta fell back from its best levels Monday after ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories rose to a 3-month high of 4,389 lots.
