Nat-Gas Prices Pressured by Warm US Autumn Temps

December Nymex natural gas (NGZ24) on Wednesday closed slightly lower by -0.014 (-0.49%)

Dec nat-gas prices on Wednesday extended this week's decline to a 1-week low.  Nat-gas prices have plunged this week on warmer-than-normal weather forecasts for the US, which would reduce heating demand for nat-gas.  NatGasWeather on Wednesday said that the southern two-thirds of the US will be in temperatures above normal for November 6-13.

Also, the outlook for a larger-than-normal build in weekly nat-gas supplies is weighing on prices.  The consensus is that Thursday's weekly EIA nat-gas inventories will climb by +81 bcf, above the five-year average for this time of year of +67 bcf.

Lower-48 state dry gas production Wednesday was 102.1 bcf/day (-0.7% y/y), according to BNEF.  Lower-48 state gas demand Wednesday was 70.5 bcf/day (-16.4% y/y), according to BNEF.  LNG net flows to US LNG export terminals Wednesday were 12.9 bcf/day (+3.4% w/w), according to BNEF.
