Robusta Coffee 10-T Futures Market News and Commentary

Arabica Coffee Weighed Down by a Rebound in ICE Inventories

May arabica coffee (KCK25) Friday closed down -0.65 (-0.17%), and March ICE robusta coffee (RMH25) closed up +71 (+1.26%).

Coffee prices on Friday settled mixed.  Arabica coffee gave up an early advance Friday and fell to a 2-week low as a rebound in arabica coffee inventories encouraged long liquidation pressures in arabica coffee futures.  ICE-monitored arabica inventories have rebounded +3.9% higher over the past three sessions to 787,999 bags on Friday, recovering from Tuesday's  9-month low of 758,514 bags.

Meanwhile, ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories posted a 4-3/4 month high on January 31 of 4,603 lots but then fell to a 1-3/4 month low of 4,297 lots on Tuesday.  Robusta inventories were at 4,322 lots Friday.
